The Room

writer/director/producer/actor Tommy Wiseau released this Shakespearean tragedy (later to term it a "black comedy") with a huge Los Angeles billboard in 2003. since then, legions of fans have discovered this gem (usually by watching a bootleg DVD at a friend's house) and have turned it into a bona fide cult hit. fans describe the film as "impossible to describe", "the best bad movie ever made", and finally resort to "you just have to see it and you'll understand."
